The White House Campus Champions of Change
The Social Entrepreneurs of Grinnell (SEG), a nonprofit microfinance lending organization, is one of 15 finalists—out of more than 1,400 submissions—for the first White House Campus Champions of Change Challenge. Cast your vote by Saturday, March 3rd at 11:59 p.m. to help them win the chance to share their message with the nation. SEG’s Local Loans Project, selected for the competition, works to combat poverty in the Grinnell community through emergency, no-interest microloans to pay for things like medical expenses, automobile repairs, education, and repayment of high-interest loans from payday loan sharks.
