SEG In Process of Applying for Non-Profit Status
SEG was mentioned in the Scarlet and Black this week, addressing our group’s path toward 501(c)(3) status. This is a great direction in which to move, and hopefully becoming an official non-profit will benefit the group in many ways.
According to SEG co-leader Harry Krejsa ’10, non-profit status would have the potential to improve the group’s financial situation. Under 501(c)(3) status, donations to SEG and their fiscal transactions would be tax-exempt.
