SEG International Partners

International Loan Partners

As stated in SEG’s Mission Statement and goals, SEG aims to “move beyond Kiva.org and independently partner with microfinance and “fourth sector” (socially-responsible for-profit) institutions.” In this vein, SEG has established partnerships with numerous organizations abroad, including the Centro Promocional Cristiano (CPC) in Nicaragua, Widows’ Development Group (WIDE) in Tanzania, CECOSPROCAES in Nicaragua, and Semrando Esperanza also in Nicaragua.

We are currently working on forming new partnerships with a Challenging Heights in Ghana and with a sewing cooperative in Haiti.

The strength of our organization derives from the strength of our network–at Grinnell we are connected to many more people abroad because of students’ connections back home and because of relationships formed abroad. We encourage anyone to contact the group and ask about possibilities of a loan.
